India’s Thakur Anoop Singh won ‘Mr. World Body’ title

Bangkok: Indian’s are striving their best to make a make internationally and win over globally.
Thakur Anoop Singh won Mr. World title when he struck gold medal in the world bodybuilding meet in Bangkok on Saturday.

Anoop who was a pilot by profession, left it in 2008 when global recession had left airline industry reeling. After which he tried his luck in body-building competitions and bagged the role of Dhritarashtra in Mahabharata.

Smart, intelligent, Anoop Singh worked on his body and finished third at the Mr Asia event recently. In Bangkok, last week, he was up against body-builders from 47 nations. Anoop struck gold in the “fitness physique” category of the seventh WBPF World Body-building and Physique Championships. India won 11 medals in Thailand.

“Hope my win helps Indians believe in the value of fitness. We can really make India proud,” Anoop said on his arrival in India.
