Travis Kalanick, Uber CEO will be visiting India next week

Mumbai: CEO and the co-founder of taxi-hailing service Uber, Travis Kalanick, the most valuable startup in the world, will be in India next week to address students of IIT-Bombay and his success story.

In his trip to India, Kalanick will take part in the government’s Startup India event, which is scheduled on January 16. Kalanick will be addressing the students on January 19.

He will be sharing the stage with over 40 CEOs and founders of startups, including SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son, at IIT-B, one of the country’s premier centres for startup incubation. The five-year-old US taxi aggregator, which is valued at $70 billion, had announced last year it would invest $1 billion to build its India business.
