In Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur, a shocking incident of molestation was reported after a viral video.
On the 27th of April, a Twitter user named Dr. Arunesh Kumar Yadav, shared a video of a teacher at Industrial Institute of ITI College, Mirzapur, molesting a girl student. In the viral video, the teacher was seen molesting a student, whose face has been blurred.
In the shared video, Dr. Arunesh Kumar Yadav, a professor of physics, a social activist and a kisan leader captioned it, “हमारे प्रदेश का दुर्भाग्य है बलात्कारियों को खुली छूट मिली हुई है!

Dr. Arunesh Kumar Yadav also tagged the Mirzapur Police, asking them to take a note and arrest the molestor. After the video was shared, the Mirzapur Police immediately responded and assured strict action.
In a quick response, the Mirzapur Police said, “सन्दर्भित प्रकरण में प्रभारी निरीक्षक को0 कटरा को तथ्यों की जांच कर आवश्यक कार्यवाही हेतु निर्देशित किया गया ।”

After the initial investigation, the Mirzapur Police arrested the teacher and revealed his identity. Notably, the accused is Mr. Vijay Singh, a teacher of ITI College Katra. Furthermore, the police said, the incident is of Holi, which came to light now.
In addition, the police also said, “Taking quick cognizance of the viral videos related to misbehavior with the schoolgirl on social media, further legal action is being taken by arresting the concerned accused.” @IPS_SantoshM”
The accused is under custody and a case has been registered for further investigation.
Meanwhile, responding to the viral tweet, netizens questioned the Indian education system and male teachers, misusing their power to molest students, especially girls. In a series of tweet replies, many users asked the Uttar Pradesh Government to take serious action and keep a check on the character of teachers at the government run colleges, especially male teachers.
