The recent Pakistan-India T20 World Cup match turned out to be unfortunate for students of Jammu and Kashmir medical colleges.

On the 25th of October, the Jammu and Kashmir Police registered a first information report (FIR) against students of two medical colleges. According to the police, two students of Sher E Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) and Government Medical College of Srinagar, allegedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans after the victory of Pakistan.

A police official said, “Students of these two colleges raised Pro-Pakistan slogans after Pakistan won the T20 World cup match against India on Sunday.”

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered the FIR under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA.)

Recently, Mr. Anil Vij, the Haryana Home Minister took to Twitter and said, those celebrating Pakistan’s win are not Indians but traitors with no Indian DNA.

Mr. Anil Vij’s tweet, which was in Hindi read, “पाकिस्तान के क्रिकेट मैच जीतने पर भारत में पटाखे फोड़ने वालों का डीएनए भारतीय नहीं हो सकता । संभल के रहना अपने घर में छुपे हुए गद्दारों से”

Besides this, after India lost against Pakistan, netizens abused Mohammed Shammi, a player of the Indian Cricket Team. The online trollers abused him and blamed for playing for Pakistan, hence India lost the T20 match.

In another shocking incident, few Muslim hostlers were assaulted and attacked after India lost the match against Pakistan.

The violence incident was reported on the 25th of October, a day after the T20 World Cup match.
