Delhi: Renowned industrialist Anand Mahindra, known for sharing motivational messages every Monday, has once again inspired his followers with an incredible success story. This time, he highlighted the achievements of young IAS officer D. Krishna Bhaskar, praising his efforts in tackling water scarcity and groundwater depletion.
Mahindra expressed admiration for Krishna Bhaskar’s dedication, stating, “India faces significant challenges in raising groundwater levels, and this young IAS officer’s achievement cannot be overstated. His determination proves that no challenge is insurmountable. He is my burning motivation.”
Krishna Bhaskar, while serving as the Collector of Rajanna Sircilla district in Telangana, implemented numerous initiatives to improve water availability. His measures included expanding piped water supply, acquiring land for reservoirs, and desilting water bodies. Additionally, small tanks were constructed near reservoirs to enhance water storage, leading to a six-meter increase in groundwater levels within four years.
Mahindra shared a post originally published by ‘Better India’ in June last year, commending Krishna Bhaskar’s efforts. The officer has also been honored with the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Governance twice, in 2019 and 2020, for his outstanding contributions.
