Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders promoting senior IAS officers Suresh Kumar and Salmon Arokyraj, both from the 2000 batch, to Chief Secretary status. Suresh Kumar has been re-designated as Principal Secretary of the Investments and Infrastructure Development Department. Meanwhile, Salmon Arokyraj, currently on central deputation, has also received the promotion.
Additionally, IAS officers from the 2009 batch—Karthikeya Mishra, Veerapandyan, and Ch. Sridhar—have been elevated to Secretary status. Karthikeya Mishra, currently serving as Assistant Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), has been promoted to Secretary in the same office. Veerapandyan will continue as the CEO of the Rural Poverty Alleviation Organization, while Sridhar will retain his position as Kadapa District Collector.
In the IPS cadre, officers Vikrant Patil and Siddharth Kaushal have also been promoted.
These promotions reflect the state government’s acknowledgment of the officers’ contributions and aim to bolster administrative efficiency across departments.
