Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, will convene at the Secretariat on January 4 at 4 PM to deliberate on key state issues. Among the significant topics on the agenda are farmer assurance, cash support for the landless poor, issuance of new ration cards, and the approval of a new tourism policy.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has already announced plans to deposit farmers’ insurance money into their accounts post-Sankranthi. The meeting is expected to finalize key decisions related to this assurance.
Discussions will likely include setting income limits for new ration card eligibility and procedures for accepting applications. Proposals to provide subsidized sand, cement, and steel for beneficiaries constructing Indiramma houses are also expected to be reviewed.
Reports from the Vidyut Commission, BC Dedicated Commission, and SC Classification Commission will be examined, with decisions anticipated. Additionally, the Cabinet may approve the formation of a 20-member governing council for the Yadagirigutta temple, similar to the TTD model.
The new tourism policy, which was recently discussed in the Assembly, is also on the agenda and likely to receive formal approval.
