Idupulapaya: Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy embarked on his 21-day ‘Memanta Siddham’ bus yatra on Wednesday. Jagan commenced the journey with prayers at the Samadhi of his father and former Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Accompanied by his mother YS Vijayamma, close relatives, and senior party leaders, Chief Minister Jagan paid homage at the YSR Ghat, where an array of religious prayers were conducted, and Vedic pandits bestowed blessings upon him.
During the ‘Memanta Siddham’ (We are Ready) bus yatra, the Chief Minister will traverse through 21 Lok Sabha constituencies, excluding the four constituencies where Siddham public meetings had been previously held.
At some points along the route, he even climbed atop the bus to interact directly with the gathered people, despite the scorching heat.
The enthusiasm of the people reached a crescendo as the roadshow reached Veerannagattu Palli, where a massive crowd presented him with a Gajamala, symbolizing their respect and support.
On the first day of the yatra, the bus covered a distance of 64 km in YSR district, passing through various towns and villages, including Kumarampalli, Vempalli, Sarvarajupeta, VN Palli (Kamalapuram), Gangireddypalli, Urutur, Yerraguntla (Jammalamadugu), Potladurthi, and Proddutur.
