Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly demanded that the central government allocate funds for the state’s projects, as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asserted that if necessary, he would visit Delhi 99 times or even stage a protest there to secure financial support. Speaking at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting, the CM criticized BJP leaders for their alleged lack of commitment to Telangana’s development.

Reddy questioned Union Minister Kishan Reddy, stating that while he took credit for bringing the Metro project, he remained silent on issues like National Highway (NH) land acquisition. He also accused Kishan Reddy of avoiding key review meetings in Hyderabad and challenged him to prove that Telangana received substantial central funds compared to other states.

Taking a swipe at former CM KCR, Reddy emphasized that his government was elected after ousting KCR and that his criticism was justified. He also dismissed concerns about reservations affecting competitive exam results, stating that legal issues could arise from modifying previous notifications.

The CM’s sharp remarks reflect the growing political tension between Congress and BJP in Telangana, particularly over funding and development projects.
