Amaravati: The election for five Member of Legislative Council (MLC) seats in Andhra Pradesh, under the MLA quota, concluded without a contest as only five candidates entered the race. With the nomination withdrawal deadline passing on Thursday evening, Returning Officer R. Vanita Rani officially announced the winners and presented them with election certificates.

The newly elected MLCs include Konidala Nagendra Rao from Jana Sena, Beeda Ravichandra from TDP, B. Tirumala Naidu from TDP, Kavali Greeshma Prasad from TDP, and Somu Veerraju from BJP. Their unchallenged election reflects the strength and coordination of the ruling alliance in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.

This outcome highlights the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance’s strategic positioning in state politics, ensuring strong representation in the Legislative Council. With these new MLCs in place, the coalition is expected to push forward its policy agenda and governance priorities more effectively.

The smooth completion of the election without opposition underscores the political consolidation within the ruling alliance, setting the stage for its future legislative initiatives in the state.
