Pulivendula: Authorities have decided to enhance security for approver Dastagiri in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case following concerns over witness safety. District SP Ashok Kumar confirmed that Dastagiri, who previously had 1+1 gunmen, will now receive 2+2 security personnel for added protection.
Dastagiri had submitted a petition to the district SP on Wednesday, requesting increased security due to the suspicious deaths of key witnesses in the case. After reviewing the request, senior police officials approved additional security measures, and two more gunmen were deployed to his residence on Thursday evening.
The security upgrade comes amid heightened tensions surrounding the high-profile case. Authorities have assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of witnesses involved in the investigation.
