Gudivada: The nomination of Kodali Nani, the candidate for Gudivada Vaikapa, has stirred up anticipation and intrigue, with attention now focused on the Election Commission’s decision. Krishna District Collector and Electoral Officer DK Balaji have initiated inquiries, directing the Gudivada RDO Padmavati to furnish a comprehensive report on the matter.

Following developments during the nomination review process, Padmavati submitted a detailed report to the Collector. Additionally, notices have been issued to TDP members to substantiate their claims, while Kodali Nani himself has issued a counter-notice, prompting investigations into alleged discrepancies in rental property dealings.

Recent revelations suggest that Nani provided explanations for the notices, particularly addressing concerns regarding the omission of government office rental details in his affidavit. TDP leaders assert that such information should be included regardless of its nature, highlighting potential discrepancies in Nani’s submissions.

In response, RVO Padmavati has called upon TEDPA to present evidence supporting their objections against Nani’s nomination. TDP representatives, including MLA Ravi Venkateswara Rao, Tulsibabu, and High Court advocate Arvind, have submitted evidence to the Gudivada ARO office, alleging inconsistencies in Nani’s affidavit. They argue that the declaration of non-use of government accommodation is erroneous, presenting certified documents from the municipal commissioner to substantiate their claims.

The unfolding saga underscores the intensifying scrutiny surrounding Nani’s candidature, with authorities yet to render a verdict on the matter.
