Hyderabad: Loksatta Party president Jayaprakash Narayana has lauded the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it a balanced and progressive budget that caters to all sections of society. He emphasized that this budget continues the significant economic reforms initiated by the previous BJP government.
Known for his expertise in financial matters, Jayaprakash Narayana described the budget as a milestone that will propel India’s economic growth. He highlighted that while nations like Germany and other European countries face financial crises, and the US prioritizes its domestic economy under the “America First” policy, India is successfully advancing with a dual agenda of welfare and development.
He noted that India’s fiscal deficit, which surged to 8% during the COVID-19 crisis, is now being systematically reduced to 4.5% through well-planned economic measures. Additionally, he praised the government’s focus on capital expenditure, stating that increased investment in infrastructure and public welfare will ensure long-term benefits for future generations.
Jayaprakash Narayana reiterated that the budget effectively balances welfare initiatives with economic growth, setting India on a strong trajectory amid global uncertainties.
