Hyderabad: The makers of the upcoming film ‘Kannappa’ have denied reports that the movie had a special premiere recently. Clarifying the misinformation circulating online, the team issued an official statement refuting claims of a March 31 screening.
“There is no truth in the news that ‘Kannappa’ was premiered on March 31. We only reviewed 15 minutes of footage focusing on the VFX section. The first copy of the film is still under preparation. As ‘Kannappa’ has extensive VFX elements, every frame is being crafted with precision, requiring additional time. We urge fans and media not to believe unverified reports. Full details will be revealed soon. We appreciate your patience and support,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, videos of Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu walking together have gone viral on social media, fueling speculation about a special preview. The team, however, clarified that no official screening has taken place.
The film, initially scheduled for an April 25 release, has now been postponed due to ongoing VFX work. Lead actor Manchu Vishnu assured fans that the new release date will be announced soon.
