Kukatpally: Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao has strongly criticized government officials over the delay in distributing Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries in his constituency. Speaking to the media, he condemned the officials’ justification that the cheques would only be distributed when the minister arrives. The MLA emphasized that if the minister’s arrival is delayed, the officials must take responsibility and ensure timely distribution to avoid causing hardship to beneficiaries.
The MLA warned that if the cheques are not distributed by 11 AM on Tuesday, he would stage a protest at the Tehsildar’s office. “Kalyana Lakshmi cheques for 550 beneficiaries have been pending for over a month in Kukatpally constituency. Beneficiaries are visiting my house daily, seeking updates. Typically, it is the MLA’s responsibility to distribute these cheques. However, the officials insist on waiting for the minister, which is causing unnecessary delays and distress for the beneficiaries,” he remarked.
The MLA expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, accusing the authorities of neglecting their duties and warning of serious action if the issue persists. Beneficiaries eagerly await resolution to access the financial assistance meant to support them.
