Amaravathi: Nara Lokesh, the newly appointed Minister for Human Resources, Information Technology, and Electronics, assumed office on Monday in a ceremony marked by simplicity and tradition. Entering the State Secretariat amid the chanting of Vedic mantras by pundits, Lokesh took charge at room number 208 in the Fourth Block.

Immediately after assuming his responsibilities, Lokesh signed the file concerning the norms for the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) and forwarded it to the Cabinet for approval. This move underscores his commitment to addressing educational needs promptly.

The event saw a host of dignitaries and well-wishers extending their congratulations to Lokesh. Among them were Cabinet Ministers Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Savitha, and TG Bharat, former MP Galla Jayadev, and MLAs Palla Srinivasa Rao, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Bhashyam Praveen, and Nakka Ananda Babu. Party MLCs P Ashok Babu, Vepada Chiranjeevi, Kancherla Srikanth, and Bhumireddy Rambhupal Reddy also joined in the celebrations.

Other notable attendees included TDP NRI coordinator Vemuri Ravi Kumar, State unit president of Telugu Yuvatha Sriram China Babu, general secretary Ravi Naidu, State president of TNSF Pranav Gopal, and former MLCs YVB Rajendra Prasad, AS Rama Krishna, Budha Naga Jagadeesh, and Angara Rammohan Rao. Former chairman of the Police Housing Corporation, Nagul Meera, also conveyed his best wishes.
