Amaravati: Minister Gottipati Ravikumar issued a stern warning to former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, advising him to shift his political approach or risk marginalization. Ravikumar stressed that Jagan’s “intimidation politics” are outdated and ineffective in the current political climate.
Ravikumar responded to Jagan’s recent letter to the Speaker requesting opposition status. He criticized the letter as a targeted attack on the Speaker and emphasized that the era of intimidation in politics has passed. Ravikumar urged Jagan and his MLAs to adopt a more democratic approach, warning that failure to do so could result in their political influence diminishing, likening it to a cricket team turning into a volleyball team.
Highlighting Jagan’s past, Ravikumar reminded that despite being “trampled to the underworld” by the public, Jagan received respect in the assembly due to orders from the current CM, Chandrababu Naidu. He noted that Jagan was shown respect and had his vehicle allowed inside the premises, even though he did not deserve it. Ravikumar expressed anger over Jagan’s unchanged mindset, evidenced by his letter targeting the Speaker.
