Amaravati: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has criticized the recent stone pelting incident on CM Jaganmohan Reddy, attributing it to a failure of the Andhra Pradesh Police. Taking to the social media platform ‘X’ on Monday, Pawan expressed his concerns, highlighting the lapse in security measures during the public meeting.
Pawan emphasized that such an attack on a VVIP figure like CM Jagan indicates a significant security breach, questioning the effectiveness of the state intelligence, police department, and the CM’s security detail. He called for immediate action against the officers responsible for the security lapse and urged for a thorough investigation by competent and honest officials to identify the mastermind behind the incident.
Furthermore, Pawan appealed to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure a free and fair election in Andhra Pradesh by transferring officials who failed to fulfill their duties effectively.
His statements underscore a demand for accountability and transparency in ensuring the safety of public figures and maintaining law and order during electoral processes in the state.
