Gannavaram: Tension prevailed at Gannavaram after Telugu Desam party (TDP) leader Madhavi’s car was allegedly attacked by YSRCP leaders. Madhavi was spotted clicking uncovered banners and posters of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Gannavaram which provoked the YSRCP activists to question her.
The incident happened at around 2.30 pm on Friday, when Madhavi raised a complaint in CIVIGL mobile application about the code violation by YSRCP candidate Vallabhaneni vamsi Mohan. Followers of Vamsi surrounded her car and tried to attack her.
Telugu Desam party candidate Yarlagadda Venkata Rao rushed to the spot and argued with police and YSRCP leaders. Huge traffic jam was reported at Gannavaram and motorists faced severe problems.
Meanwhile, police faced severe criticism throughout the entire episode. Police failed to control YSRCP leaders and asked Madhavi to come to Gannavram police station. Telugu Desam reported the entire incident at Election Commission of India (ECI) and complained against Krishna district SP and local CI.
