New Delhi: Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, marking his first meeting with the senior leader since the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance came to power both at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting has drawn attention, particularly in the wake of Lavu’s strong remarks in Parliament on Monday during the debate on the Finance Bill, where he criticized the liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh. The timing of his meeting with Amit Shah has fueled speculation about discussions on key political and governance matters concerning the alliance.

According to sources, Lavu is said to have briefed the Home Minister on governance issues in Andhra Pradesh, as well as the TDP-led coalition’s coordination with the central government. The meeting is seen as a crucial step in strengthening ties between the state and central leadership under the NDA government.

This interaction comes at a time when the TDP-led government is working on policy implementation and administrative reforms in Andhra Pradesh, amid ongoing political developments at the national level.
