Hyderabad: Film producer Naga Vamsi, known for keeping audiences updated on his projects, recently spoke in an interview about the upcoming films of top heroes, ticket pricing issues, and his future ventures.
One of the most anticipated films, Daku Maharaj, starring Balakrishna and directed by Bobby, is set for a grand release on January 12 as a Sankranti special. Vamsi shared insights into the movie, describing it as a thrilling ride with a story tailored to Balakrishna’s mass appeal. “Balakrishna, as a mass hero, truly deserves an elevation in this film,” said Vamsi, highlighting that his character’s transformation into a decoy will be one of the film’s key attractions. The film will also feature three heroines—Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal, and Urvashi Rautela—with emotional scenes involving Balakrishna.
Vamsi also compared Daku Maharaj to Bobby’s previous hit, Waltheruveeraiah, praising Bobby’s enhanced comic timing in the new film. He also commended Thaman’s music, emphasizing that Balakrishna’s films with Thaman usually garner a lot of success.
On the topic of rising ticket prices, Vamsi explained that prices are based on the cost incurred by the producers and the price paid by buyers. He noted that increased ticket prices are generally limited to major films such as Kalki, Devara, and Pushpa 2, and are not meant to disturb the audience. “Ticket prices vary depending on the movie,” Vamsi stated.
Looking ahead, Vamsi confirmed that Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12 is scheduled for a March 28 release, unless it clashes with Hariharaveeramallu, which may be postponed. He also shared details about the VD12 project, stating that 80% of the shooting is complete, with 8 songs ready for release.
Additionally, Vamsi hinted at exciting developments in Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s collaboration, with their script work already completed and plans to begin shooting in the summer.
