Tadepalli: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has strongly refuted allegations of a ₹700 crore land scam involving former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s family, labeling them as baseless and politically motivated.
Speaking at the YSRCP Central Office, party spokesperson Puttha Siva Shankar Reddy dismissed the accusations as a diversionary tactic by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to shift public focus from its governance failures, corruption, and unfulfilled promises. He emphasized that the claims lack credible evidence or official complaints and termed them a smear campaign.
Over the past week, TDP-affiliated media outlets and social platforms accused Jagan Mohan Reddy, his brother YS Sunil, and personal aide K. Nageshwar Reddy of benefiting from the alleged scam. Reddy highlighted that the named sub-registrar, already investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), had been cleared of any wrongdoing, debunking the allegations.
He accused TDP of fabricating fake narratives, citing examples like the “Madanapalle Files” and “Adani SECI Issue.” Reddy condemned the indecent campaigns run by TDP’s I-TDP social media wing and revealed that the YSRCP has filed complaints with Tadepalli police, promising strict legal action.
The spokesperson reaffirmed YSRCP’s commitment to rooting out corruption and delivering transparent governance under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. He challenged the TDP to produce evidence supporting their claims, urging the public to reject these conspiracies and trust in the government’s focus on public welfare.
