Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, the President of the Samajwadi Party, received legal notices.
On the 28th of March, Tuesday, the court of Additional District judge Anuradha Kushwaha issued notices to defendants in the revision petition filed by a lawyer Hari Shankar Pandey. Notably, Mr. Hari Shankar Pandey filed a case against Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, for their remarks in the Gyanvapi Matter.
The lawyer sought filing of a case against Mr. Akhilesh and Mr. Asaduddin for their alleged remarks on the purported ‘Shivling’ found in the Gyanvapi mosque. The petition also said, the remarks of the two political leaders were dirtying its ablution pond by visitors.
“After the court of additional chief judicial magistrate V Ujjwal Upadhyaya rejected my plea on February 15, I filed a revision petition in the court of the district judge.
From the district judge court, the revision petition was transferred to the court of ADJ-IX. The court started the procedure of hearing the revision petition and served notices to all defendants.
With this, the matter and hearing against Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi has been adjourned to the 14th of April.
