On Monday, the Shiv Sena party raised Comedian Kapil Sharma’s drunken row in the Parliament and defended their MP Ravindra Gaikwad. The MP was banned from flying with most of the private planes as he assaulted an Air India staff member with a sandal on Thursday.

Anandrao Adsul, Shiv Sena MP questioned the Lok Sabha, “Kapil Sharma misbehaved on a flight after getting drunk but no ban was imposed on him. Corrupt people are allowed to fly. How can an MP be banned.”The Centre informed that ‘rules are same’ for all which includes Ministers/The Civil Aviation Minister A. G. Raju said to the Sena, “Violence on a flight can be disastrous…we cannot compromise safety in airlines.”

Based on reports, Air India has also made plans to issue a warning to the comedian Kapil Sharma. He is accused of creating a scene in an airplane, wherein he misbehaved with his co-star Sunil Grover on a Melbourne-bound flight from Mumbai. The news of Kapil’s brawl has been the doing rounds in the news and Air India planned to issue a warning notice to Kapil after MP Gaikwad’s ban by six different airlines. A.G. Raju had said that the airlines can decline anybody’s boarding if they feel that the individual demeanor to be disturbing. He said that “never in the wildest of dreams had I expected an MP to get caught in this.”

The Samajwadi Party has decided to take the side of Gaikwad. Naresh Agrawal of SP said in the Rajya Sabha that airlines banning Mr. Gaikwad “just goes to show their dadagiri(bullying.)”
