The AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma camp chief O Panneerselvam, after the talks of the merger, said that his party will not merge with AIADMK Amma as long as Sasikala and TTV Dinakaran along with their family members are associated with the party.

Panneerselvam speaking to the reporters said, “It will not be an unconditional unison. We will not deviate from our basic policies, which is against a family rule in the party. Any change in our stand shall be an injustice to the people of Tamil Nadu and AIADMK cadre.” He added, “The Party should not be in the hands of a family. Amma (late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa) sent the family out and Sasikala gave an apology stating that she shall not come into any post and she admitted the involvement of her family in shadow conspiracy. Thus nobody from the family must be there in the party and there is no change from our side on this.”

Panneerselvam also stood on his stand about the probe into Jayalalithaa’s death. He said that the treatment details of Amma should be made public and keep it transparent. Panneerselvam also accused TTV Dinakaran of bribing voters in RK Nagar Bypolls. He also said that Dinakaran was capable of attempting to bribe Election Commission for acquiring the two leaves symbol.

The former chief minister said, “Dhinakaran gave Rs 4,000 per voter in RK Nagar and income tax raids were conducted unearthing evidence in health minister C Vijayabaskar. The Election Commission conducted its hearing on Monday on the petition pending and the broker was caught through central intelligence trying to bribe EC. So we have been insisting that the family against whom we have waged a war had indulged in activities bringing disrepute to the entire Tamil Nadu.”

Panneerselvam also said that Sasikala’s appointment as general secretary and TTV Dinakaran’s induction into the party was a step against Amma’s ethics and her decisions.
