Newborn Baby Abandoned In A Well In Telangana Was Rescued

In a miraculous incident, a newborn baby who was abandoned in a well was rescued in Telangana. Villagers in the area informed the police and called an ambulance to come to the baby’s rescue. The incident took place on Sunday at Kagaz Maddur village in Medak District.

The Police reported that on Sunday at around 2 P.M., the villagers heard the screams of a baby from an abandoned well. Narsapur Inspector Venkata Raja Goud said, “I received a call at noon about a baby being found. I told the villagers to immediately call the ambulance without waiting for me and rescue the baby. The villagers immediately rescued the baby and rushed it to the Government hospital in ambulance.”

Once the baby was rescued the doctors did a thorough examination and stated the baby boy was healthy. After the little boy’s examination, he was handed over to the officials from Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS.) The police informed that the child was taken to a children’s home in Sangareddy District.

Inspector Goud said, “We have registered a case under IPC section 317 (exposure and abandonment of child under twelve years) and are on the look out to identify the parents.”

This is not the first a baby was found abandoned in Telangana. Earlier this year a baby girl was abandoned near a shop at Bijinapally Bus Station in Nagarkurnool District. Locals informed the police and the baby girl was taken for an examination.
