In a shocking and unprofessional case, two doctors began arguing in the operation theatre while operating on a pregnant woman that allegedly resulted in the new born baby’s death on Wednesday.

The incident happened at Umaid Hospital in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In the biggest healthcare facility in Jodhapur, the doctors argued over the operating table while one of the staff members recorded the incident on their phone.

Although, there is no concrete evidence to show that the baby died due to the argument some suggest that the delay in an emergency cesarean surgery is a likely possibility for the baby’s death.

The two doctors have been identified as Ashok Nainwal and M.L. Tak.

The obstetrician, Ashok Nainwal was not pleased when the anesthetist, Tak tried to get a junior doctor to carry out tests. This caused the argument between the two doctors is what some reports suggest.

Whether the reason for the baby’s death was due to the doctor’s argument or not it is still highly unprofessional for two educated doctors to act in this manner. The issue has been taken up seriously and a team has been formed to investigate into the matter.

Nainwal spoke to a news channel and justified himself by saying the anesthetist was not following the right procedure that could put the mother’s life in danger and that’s why the argument started. The two doctors have been suspended after the video went viral.
