Harley Davidson Bike Stolen In Hyderabad On Pretext Of Test Drive

HYDERABAD: A man in his thirties allegedly stole a bike worth Rs. 5.7 Lakh from the Harley Davidson showroom at Banjara Hills today, under the pretext of a “test drive”.
“The proforma for the test drive was filled by Tahir Ali, after that he vanished with the 750cc Harley Davidson, Street 750 model motorbike”, Banjara Hills police station sub-inspector Santosh said.

The Banjara Hills police booked this case under Sections 379 (theft) and Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code and ordered an enquiry on the incident. According to the proforma filled by the thief, was completely fake. The police is in the process of studying closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage to nab the accused.

The man starting the engine was a showroom employee. The thief, posing as a customer, mounts the bike and drives off, never to return.
