Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Misister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of the giant statue of Dr B R Ambedkar marking the 125th birth ceremony.
Hyderabad will feature a 125-feet statue of father of Indian Constitution Dr Ambedkar, just beside the city’s famous landmarks such as Hussain Sagar lake and the state secretariat in a year.
Telangana CM declared that the statue of Ambedkar, who is worshiped by scheduled castes among other sections of the society for his role in introducing the reservation system for socially oppressed sections in education and employment, will be the tallest in the country.
