On Friday Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao declared a subsidy will be applied for Christians in the State to take the Jerusalem pilgrimage. KCR made this announcement while attending the Christmas celebrations at the Nizam Grounds in Hyderabad.
KCR addressed the ones gathered and said, “There is a need for a budget for Jerusalem pilgrimage. We will make sure that it is introduced.” He also announced a budget of Rs. 10 crores from the Government will be used to repair old churches and construct new churches. The Chief Minister kindly said, “We are all one and Telangana will take care of everyone.”
KCR also boasted that ever since Telangana attained statehood attacks on churches have reduced. He strictly said, “If anything happens anywhere against any Christian or any Christian Institute in the State, it will be ruthlessly curbed.”
The CM also addressed the fact that the State Government delayed the project to construct a Christian Bhavan. He further assured the Christian Bhavan Project would be completed by next Christmas.
