The new Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be in Gujarat on Saturday and will visit the Somnath Temple. Mr. Gandhi will be attending a review meeting to analyze the Congress’ stand in the Assembly Elections.
Gandhi will be in Gujarat for a three day visit and will meet the newly elected MLAs. He will also conduct meetings with Congress leaders and party workers from all across the State. The main agenda of this visit will focus on the election results.
The Congress along with its allies managed to secure a total of 80 seats in the Gujarat Assembly Elections. This led to the BJP winning only 99 seats in a State the BJP considers its fortress.
Gandhi will attend a Party workers meet at the Gujarat University Convention Hall at GNBC ground in Ahmedabad. The Congress will discuss how it failed to dethrone the BJP and plans for the road ahead.
Mr. Gandhi was officially inducted as the Congress President on the 16th of December two days after the Gujarat Elections ended.
