K. T. Rama Rao, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister will inaugurate a Road under Bridge (RUB) at Uttam Nagar in Malkajgiri. Health Minister C. Laxman Reddy and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan will also be part of the inauguration this morning.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) took up the construction of a four lane road. The project began in January 2015 and completed by March 2018. The RUB is expected to give relief to commuters who struggled with the closure of the railway road in Safilguda.
This RUB will help ease the traffic movement on the Malkajgiri to Secunderabad road through Safilguda and AOC. The road also adds additional connectivity to those traveling from Secunderabad to Moula Ali, Anandbagh and Neredmet areas.
The 534 meter long RUB cost the Government Rs. 29.59 crores. The road divided in two provides a width of 21 meters for carriageways and 5 meters as service roads.
