The Congress crushed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by winning the Mandalgarh Assembly seat with a lead of 12,976 votes. The Congress is also leading in Ajmer and Alwar with a margin of 62,661 and 1,11,209 votes. The Congress candidate Vivek Dhakar won against the BJP’s Shakti Singh Hada in Mandalgarh. The other competing Congress candidates are Raghu Sharma in Ajmer and Karan Singh Yadav in Alwar.
For the Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seat, the Congress is leading by over 48,000 votes and 72,000 votes respectively. A total of 42 candidates were in the fray for the three constituencies.
A Senior Election Official said the voter turnout in Ajmer and Alwar are 65.20% and 61.86% while Mandalgarh witnessed 78.78% polling.
