Ganesh immersion procession is near and the Hyderabad Traffic Police want to ensure a smooth traffic flow. A number of roads will be blocked off just for the procession and details have been circulated so the public can avoid any inconveniences.
The police said, “The main procession starts from Keshavagiri and passes through Aliabad, Nagulchinta, Charminar, Madina, Afzalgunj, MJ Market, Abids, Basheerbagh, Liberty, Upper Tank Bund and NTR Marg.”
The Secunderabad area procession will pass through RP Road, MG Road, Karbaa Maidan, Kawadiguda, Musheerabad X road, RTC X Road, Narayanaguda X road, Himayatnagar and Liberty joining the Hyderabad procession route.
Another procession will go through Uppal, Ramanthapur, Amberpet, NCC at Osmania University, Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital joining the Secunderabad procession at RTC X Road.
The police released a press release that read, “No traffic other than the idols’ procession will be allowed to move on the main procession route between 9 A.M., on September 5, and 8 A.M., on September 6. The traffic restrictions will be extended if the situation so demands.”
It further added, “Commuters are advised to use the Ring Road and Begumpet area to avoid diversions. All the side roads leading to the main procession route will be barricaded.”
