OMG! Rs 800 crore seized in raid on Deputy Transport Commissioner, AP

Kakinada: A deputy transport commissioner in Andhra Pradesh has been arrested with his assets valued at Rs 800 crore. The Anti-corruption Bureau officials extended their raids for the second day on Friday in the houses of A. Mohan in nine places of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Mr Mohan was arrested and produced before the ACB Court in Vijayawada. The document value of his properties is Rs 100 crore to Rs 120 crore. ACB officials said that several bank lockers were yet to be opened and searched.

Officials felt that to convert black money into white, he had floated eight companies in the name of his elder daughter Tejasri. “We could not trace the offices of the companies as per the addresses in the documents,” said Ms Ramadevi. Mohan had recently transferred some property at Bellary in Karnataka to his name from his in-laws’ names.
