Stalin Says, PM Modi Declined To Meet Tamil Nadu’s Delegation

Today, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M. K. Stalin said the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi refused to meet the Tamil Nadu (TN) all party and farmers delegation. Stalin further added the all party and farmers delegation wanted to talk to PM Modi about setting up the Cauvery Management Board (CMB.)

Stalin pointed out PM Modi betrayed the people of TN by refusing to meet. The DMK President further asked the TN Chief Minister (CM) Edappadi K Palaniswami to convene an assembly session to speak on this issue.

Stalin said, “During our meeting with the CM, we have put forward a proposal of a mass resignation of all Tamil Nadu MPs from the Parliament to stress our point to the Union Government. The CM has said that this proposal could be discussed in the Assembly session.”

Earlier on the 16th of February, the Supreme Court ordered that within a period of 6 weeks the Central Government should set up the CMB and the Cauvery Water Regulatory Committee.
