On Thursday the Hyderabad police announced a youth was kidnapped from Nalgonda town had a suspicious death in Hyderabad.
In the early hours of Thursday, two unidentified youths dropped off Shobhan Babu a 23 year old boy at Medisys Hospital at Vanastalipuram.
The doctors called the police after the two youths disappeared and Shobhan was declared dead.
The police arrived at the hospital and found Shobhan had injury marks on his body. A FIR for death under suspicious circumstances has been registered by the city’s police and the body sent for autopsy.
CCTV cameras captured the youths who brought Shobhan making it easy for the police to take them into custody.
Vanastalipuram Inspector, Murali Krishna was quoted as saying, “We verified the CCTV footage at the hospital, and it was found that there were two persons accompanying the victim. Shoban’s parents identified the duo as Yadagiri and Rajesh when we showed them the footage. The motive and location of the crime can be ascertained only after arresting the two friends.”
The inspector further added, “We suspect they had a fight after consuming alcohol near Sahara Estates, during which they attacked Babu with sticks and iron rods. His chest and ribs were fractured in the attack.”
The police’s investigation revealed two more people were involved in Shobhan’s death. The Hospital managed to nab the third accused and handed him to the police.
The Vanastalipuram police have filed a case under IPC section 302 for murder.
