Airtel Set To Launch 4G Services in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai

Coming this May, get ready to witness the ultimate internet speed, as India’s leading telecom provider, Airtel is all set to roll out 4G services in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai this month.

Airtel confirmed that 4G services will be first launched in Chennai on May 14 following which the services will be rolled out to Hyderabad and Mumbai.

A report states that “Airtel will start trial of 4G services in Chennai from May 14 in 1800MHz band. It has sent out invite to some bloggers to experience its services,”

So far, 4G services are enabled in 19 Indian cities that include Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh, and with 3 major metros now adding to the list, Airtel is certainly aiming to double its 4G user base. It also confirmed that the rest of the states like Punjab, Rajasthan will also be 4G enabled by 2016.

Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that the company is aiming to double its 4G network usage by installing over 20,000 sites in addition to 20,000 sites it already has for 4G service.
