Google Wants To Make Movie On India Titled ‘India In A Day’

India: Have you ever imagine what would if given a chance what India would do in a Day? Or the complete nation is captured in one special film? – sounds exciting right!
Some of cinema’s biggest names have joined forces with google to crowd-source a film about India.
Ridley Scott, director of The Martian, no less, is partnering with Anurag Kasgyap and Google India to produce “the story of evolving India.” Directing credit will go to Canadian filmmaker Richie Mehta while Zoya Akhtar, Shekhar Kapur and R Balki serve as creative consultants.

In a video montage that captures various moments in and around the country and its people, the filmmakers urge citizens to share their perspective of “India in a day.” Selected clips will be made into a movie scheduled to be released next year that will be directed by Mehta. Anyone whose footage is included will be listed as “co-director,” a press release from Google Inc. said.

“On October 10, film your day and you could be part of a film that tells the story of India at a moment of dramatic change,” it says on YouTube. “Distinctive and compelling videos submitted” will be pieced together for a special film that shows India as it is seen by its citizens.
