Leaving a large group other government associations behind, including the world famous CIA, FBI, NASA and even the rival Pakistani military, the Indian Army has again proved that whatever the arena maybe, they emerge victorious. But this time around, the war is virtual and not a real one. As per the recent statistics, Indian Army has topped the charts on social networking website, Facebook with most number of followers. For the second time in the same month, the Indian Army’s Facebook page has topped the People Talking About That (PTAT) positioning for Facebook pages.

“It is big for the army’s social media. Only two months ago, we had topped for the first time. It also proves that we have genuine likes registered for our page,” Army sources said.

PTAT positioning is in light of the investigation of the quantity of individuals discussing or on a specific page. Furthermore, it is not simply the Facebook page that is doing admirably. The official site of the Indian Armed force gets upwards of 25 lakh hits consistently. The armed force initially entered Facebook on June 1, 2013 and has from that point forward accumulated 2.9 million preferences.

Interestingly, on Facebook, both India and Pakistan are at war, having blocked one another’s records through Geo location. This implies that a man from Pakistan can’t get to Indian Army’s Facebook page and the other way around. The Twitter handle of the Indian Army has 447 thousand followers, sources said, including “social media is an important element of army’s outreach programme.”
