Social media platform Instagram’s app and website went down across the world for about an hour, causing inconvenience to its users.
After they went down, Reuters ran a check after an hour and said the app and the website are back up and users can share their stories, pictures and videos again.
The complaints of Instagram being down were highlighted on Twitter as users spammed with tweets using #instagramdown. Users who love to start their day with an Instagram post could not post their morning face pictures and use Instagram. The services of the app were down from 8 A.M., (U.K. local time.)
DownDetector’s map showed places like North America, London, San Francisco, India, Singapore and other countries suffered from the issue.
The outage came a week after the co-founders of the popular social media platform resigned from their posts. The application has more than a billion active users in a month.
The Instagram had announced Adam Mosseri to be the new head of the photo sharing app on Monday, the 1st of October.
