The global launch of Xiaomi’s custom ROM, MIUI 7 was held in New Delhi, amidst huge fanfare and anticipation. Xiaomi along with globally launching MIUI 7 also announced the limited version Mi4i phones, which are now available in different colours.
The new OS, the MIUI 7, which is captioned as “Yours By Design”, has made a lot of changes and enhancements in the user interface and have made it more user friendly, which also allows extensive customization.
Xiaomi affirmed that MIUI 7 will be rolled out to Mi devices starting this Monday, and the first ones to receive it would be the Beta supported Mi devices, which are Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Redmi Note, andRedmi Note 4G.
Though the event was well appreciated, many fans were disappointed as they were expecting to see the launch of Redmi Note 2, but to their sadness, Xiaomi might have set another date for its launch, as it dint happen.
The main highlights of the new MIUI 7 is the default themes available to choose like (Rose, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze, and High Life). There are new themes that have a complete game on the lock screen. Up to 30 percent better response time than MIUI 6. Huge reduction in overall modem power alongside background restrictions apps to save up to 10 percent battery life and an XXL font size among others.
Furthermore, Xiaomi also announced MUSE, that lets users to create Themes with animations and content without the help of coding.
