Hyderabad: Hyderabad police questioned Actor Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theater stampede incident. Along with his father, producer Allu Aravind, and others, Arjun attended the investigation at the Chikkadpally police station on Tuesday at 11:05 am. They were questioned until 2:47 pm by Central Zone DCP Akanksh Yadav in the presence of ACP Ramesh and Inspector Rajunaik.
The questioning centered on the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theater on October 4, during the premiere of Pushpa 2, which resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her son, Sritej. The police had recently released a 10-minute video of the incident, which served as the basis for their inquiry.
Senior manager of Sandhya Theater, Nagaraju, was earlier taken into custody for two days. During his interrogation, he reportedly admitted that police had denied permission for the premiere show. The investigation sought clarity on whether Allu Arjun had organized a rally despite the lack of permission and if the theater management had shared accurate details with the authorities.
Allu Arjun, previously arrested in the case, was granted interim bail by the High Court and released from Chanchalguda Jail.
