Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has taken a significant step toward paperless governance by signing an agreement with the Parliamentary Affairs Department to implement the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) system.

NeVA is designed to integrate the activities of Parliament and state assemblies under a unified digital platform, enabling efficient and eco-friendly governance. With this move, Andhra Pradesh joins several other states that have already adopted NeVA to streamline legislative processes.

The implementation of NeVA will allow the Assembly and Council to operate in a fully paperless mode, aligning with the state government’s ongoing initiatives for digital governance. The government has committed to funding 40% of the project’s cost, demonstrating its dedication to promoting sustainable practices.

As part of the initiative, a centralized dashboard and specialized tablets will be provided to all members of the Legislative Assembly and Council, ensuring seamless access to legislative documents and updates.

By adopting NeVA, Andhra Pradesh aims to enhance transparency, reduce administrative costs, and set a benchmark for digital transformation in legislative operations.
