Vijayawada: CPM Politburo member BV Raghavu has raised serious allegations against YSRCP president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, questioning why the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not investigated him over alleged bribes from the Adani Group.
Addressing the media alongside party leaders MA Baby and V. Srinivasa Rao, Raghavu claimed that the power contracts signed between Jagan and the Adani Group represent a major scandal. He alleged that these deals, orchestrated in collusion with Adani, have placed a massive financial burden on the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Raghavu also called on current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to cancel these controversial power contracts immediately. Additionally, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly sparing Jagan from ED and CBI scrutiny, despite frequently targeting opposition leaders with these agencies.
The CPM leaders demanded that the issue of Adani’s power contracts and the alleged dedication affair be debated during the upcoming parliamentary sessions. They further pressed for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe to uncover the truth behind these deals.
The allegations add to growing calls for transparency in power contracts and intensified scrutiny over political favoritism in Andhra Pradesh.
