Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has announced a major development for its workers. Company Managing Director N. Balaram revealed that 2,364 transfer workers will be regularized as general laborers, effective from September 1.
This decision benefits workers who have met the criteria of working 190 days in underground mines or 240 days in surface mines and departments within a year. The management has issued orders for the regularization process to be completed soon.
The move is part of the company’s Karunya and Dependent job recruitment processes, which prioritize the regularization of transfer workers who have fulfilled the minimum muster requirements after one year of service. The regularization grants these workers permanent status and opens opportunities for promotion based on internal job qualifications, with higher educational qualifications earning priority for advancement and allocation of company quarters.
CMD N. Balaram emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication in the workplace. The decision to regularize these workers has been met with significant satisfaction among the employees, who are pleased to see their consistent efforts recognized with permanent positions.
