On the 29th of March, Wednesday, Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Health Minister of Telangana, announced a special programme,  welcome to ‘Healthy Woman.’

As per the directions of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) implemented Arogya Manhai programme, ensuring that all the women in the State should be completely healthy.   The programme launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the 8th of March.  It is getting a special response from the women of the Telugu State.

In regard to this, the BRS Government also set up 100 ‘Women Special Clinics’ across the State to conduct medical examinations only for women every Tuesday.  More than 19,000 women were examined in the last three Tuesdays, said Mr. T. Harish Rao.

With the aim of ‘Women’s Health – Home Health’, these medical centers are conducting tests and providing treatment for 8 major health problems faced by women.  Women do not disclose their health problems due to lack of leisure, fear, lack of proper knowledge, inability to go to the hospital on their own, or other reasons.  Due to this, their health problems are progressing and leading to major diseases. For such people, the ‘Healthy Woman’ program is providing a lot of assurance.

A steadily growing popularity

In less than a month, 4,793 women came and underwent medical tests.  On the second Tuesday of the launch, 6,328 women came and took the necessary tests after check up.  On the 28th of March, the screening increased to 7,965 people, 26% more people came compared to the previous week.

Moreover, more than 10,000 samples were collected in three Tuesdays and sent to the lab for testing.  In the first week 2,723 samples were collected, in the second week 2,792 samples and in the third week 4,727 samples were collected and sent to Telangana Diagnostics.

These results are available to them within 24 hours.
