Ms. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the General Secretary of the All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) in Uttar Pradesh, would join the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, on the 3rd of January, Tuesday, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) led the BJY delegation to enter Uttar Pradesh.  Ms. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would be joining Mr. Rahul Gandhi, her brother in the massive yatra, launched against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government.

Speaking about the BJY, it resumed its second leg journey after a nine day break.  Amid Christmas and New Year, the Rahul Gandhi led BJY took a break after concluding its journey in Delhi.  On the afternoon of Tuesday, the 3rd of January, BJY resumed its second leg of the journey.

Ms. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who would walk with her brother Rahul Gandhi welcomed the delegation at the Ghaziabad border.  The yatra would continue in Uttar Pradesh for two days, following which it would enter Haryana’s Panipat on the evening of the 5th of January.

Launched on the 7th of September, the BJY is a massive initiative of the Indian National Congress against the Bharatiya Janata Party.  During this padayatra, Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the INC interacted with the citizens of various states and villages across India, raising voices against the misrule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government.  It would also speak about issues like the hike in prices of essential commodities, the unemployment rate in India and other misconduct and misrule of the ruling government.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu has covered Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and entered Uttar Pradesh.  After Uttar Pradesh, the INC delegation would lead the BJY in Haryana, Punjab and then to Jammu and Kashmir.
