The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the 18th of February, Friday, filed their reply before a Special CBI court on the 2015 Sheena Bora Murder Case.
According to sources, recently, the Sheena Bora Murder Case prime accused Ms. Indrani Mukerjea filed a plea seeking a probe into the possibility of Sheena being alive in Kashmir. She even wrote to the CBI regarding the same based on inputs given by her jail inmate, that Sheena Bora, whose murder charges are on Indrani is alive and has been spotted in Kashmir. Besides writing to the CBI, Ms. Indrani Mukherjea filed a bail plea to the Supreme Court with the same claims. The application was moved in the Court by Mukerjea’s lawyer Mr. Sana R. Khan.
Ms. Indrani Mukherjea, the mother of Sheena has been lodged in Byculla Jail, Mumbai, and is currently under judicial custody.
The 2015 Sheena Bora Murder Case became a national issue, which was investigated by the Mumbai Police. However, it was later shifted to the CBI, which is still investigating the matter. Ms. Indrani Mukherjea is the prime accused, alleged of killing her own daughter due to personal reasons. However, she denied the allegations and has always maintained that Sheena has not been murdered and is alive.
The next hearing for the new development in the Sheena Bora Murder Case is on the 3rd of March.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court also sought a reply from the CBI over Ms. Indrani’s bail plea.
