The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced to provide 50% choice in questions in exams to Class 10 students in 2022.
The decision was taken in view of the ongoing Wuhan virus pandemic, which disturbed the education of students, as the classes were held online.
According to the Telangana Education Department, the 50% choices would be provided to the theory sections of the question papers. However, no choice would be given in the objective part, confirmed an official who wishes to be anonymous.
According to the Education department official, there will be a choice of 50 per cent in the questions in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination. In addition, for the 2022 examination, the State Government released model question papers on the website of the State Council of Educational Research and Training.
Earlier, to release the burden of students, the Telangana Education Department reduced the intermediate syllabus by 30%, with only 70 % of the syllabus for the 2022 SSC exams in all subjects. In addition, from the previous 11 papers, this time there would only be 6 papers.
Meanwhile, so far, 4.81 lakh Class X students have registered themselves for the exams.
Students who have not paid the exam fee can also pay it now with a late fee of Rs. 50 and Rs. 200 till the 24th of February and the 4th of March, respectively.
The fee will also be accepted with a late fee of Rs. 500 up to the 14th of March.
In 2022, the SSC exams have been scheduled from the 11th of May to the 20th of May.
